At Luper Auction Galleries you can add to that definition a rich history which allows us to accurately appraise to fair market conditions, an extensive record of serving as a court appointed expert witnesses in both Federal and State courts and a highly qualified staff with expertise in all areas of appraisals.

Being an auction gallery provides us with the distinct advantage of being current on fair market conditions and market trends.

Our appraisal reports consist of a detailed inventory, valuation and appraisers certification provided by a professional, certified appraiser, presented in compliance with the code of ethics of the American Society of Appraisers and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.

Types of Appraisals
Luper provides Three basic types of Appraisals which are designed for specific situations:

Fair Market Value - a price at which "a willing buyer and seller," neither being under any obligation, would agree to complete a sale. Fair market value is used for estate tax, estate planning, charitable contributions or other purposes.

Replacement Value - a monetary value necessary to replace property with something of similar origin, age, quality, condition or provenance from a gallery or dealer, public auction, commissioned dealer or other consultant. This type of appraisal is provided strictly for insurance purposes where certain property may be scheduled separately from a blanket homeowner's policy.
