is Marked J. Holdcroft 71'. Lip of Pitcher has been Broken.

RESEARCH:
1) Majolica by J. Holdcroft refers to Victorian-era lead glazed earthenware made by English potter Joseph Holdcroft, active mainly in Longton, Staffordshire, from about the late 1860s through the late 19th century.
2) Joseph Holdcroft worked in Longton and became known for majolica, parian, and other earthenwares.
3) His majolica production peaked roughly from the 1870s–1880s, contemporaneous with Minton, Wedgwood, and George Jones, whose styles influenced his designs and sometimes molds.
